Athenian Video Suite

v1.3.8 October 6, 2026
AI-assisted video generation, style previews, credits, media storage, and frontend video workflows for WordPress.

Overview

Product overview

AI video generation is powerful, but most implementations are still too fragile for production use. Prompt submission happens in one custom UI, reference handling in another script, billing logic somewhere else, job polling in cron code, and finished files often never make it cleanly back into the CMS. The result is a poor customer experience, unreliable cost control, and a workflow that creates more operational overhead than it removes.

Athenian Video Suite solves that by packaging the full render lifecycle into one WordPress-native system. It captures prompts and references, can generate a style-preview image to consolidate creative direction, submits Sora-based video jobs, tracks them in the background, enforces or integrates with platform credits, stores completed videos in WordPress, and notifies users when the render is ready.

Use cases

  • AI video
  • Media generation
  • Style previews
  • Video libraries

Developer

Developer starting point

This baseline documents the Video Suite architecture. It does not claim that an external video request, generated artifact, credit mutation, media-library write, or playback session has been exercised.

Ecosystem integration story

WordPress

Athenian Video Suite is designed to live natively inside WordPress. It uses shortcode rendering for the frontend experience, REST routes for job actions, custom post types for job records, cron or scheduler-style background polling, and Media Library storage for finished outputs.

OpenAI

Athenian Video Suite is the operational bridge between WordPress and OpenAI media generation services. It uses GPT-Image-1 for style-preview workflows and Sora-family video models for queued render generation, while normalizing model, size, duration, credential, and reference-image handling inside the plugin.

Athenian PrintForge and APF-style experiences

Athenian Video Suite aligns naturally with APF-driven creative workflows because it supports credit-backed generation, compact embedded UI, and media-first creation experiences. It can sit alongside Athenian PrintForge-style user journeys where visual generation and branded output are already central to the product experience.

Credit Pack Manager and platform credit systems

Athenian Video Suite is structured to work with CPM-backed credits as a native operational control. It can read balances, place holds, consume usage, and release held credits when jobs fail, making it suitable for gated AI experiences, subscription bundles, or usage-metered customer portals.

Admin and operations teams

Because every render becomes a tracked job inside WordPress, support, operations, and content teams get a clearer system of record. They can inspect status, credits, remote job IDs, and final assets without tracing the workflow across disconnected systems.

Troubleshooting

Baseline review boundary
  • This baseline documents the Video Suite architecture. It does not claim that an external video request, generated artifact, credit mutation, media-library write, or playback session has been exercised.

  • Confirm the deployed plugin version, active dependencies, and current repository tree before using implementation details as a release contract.
  • Treat payment, carrier, vendor, shipment, inventory, account, credential, tax, AI, and external-provider behavior as integration-dependent until exercised in the target environment.

FAQ

What is this page intended to establish?

A versioned, product-linked starting point for iterative developer documentation. It combines the local implementation reference with a detected-code inventory and a committed GitHub baseline.

Is the linked repository baseline verified?

Yes. The repository URL, ref, and commit recorded on this page were verified from the clean GitHub baseline prepared for this documentation pass. That does not by itself prove fleet deployment parity.

What remains for release-grade documentation?

Reconcile the recorded source baseline with the deployed plugin version, then exercise the relevant authenticated, store, provider, payment, tax, carrier, or generated-artifact paths in the target environment.
