Athenian Amazon Connector
Overview
Product overview
Selling on Amazon from WooCommerce often breaks down at the operational layer. Product data lives in WooCommerce, Amazon listing requirements live in Seller Central and SP-API documentation, pricing decisions vary by channel, and status checks often require merchants to jump between multiple interfaces just to understand whether a product is ready, published, or in error.
Athenian Amazon WooCommerce Connector addresses that gap by adding Amazon-specific controls directly to WooCommerce products and by connecting those controls to Amazon SP-API Listings Items endpoints. Merchants can enable a product for Amazon, assign seller SKU and identifier data, choose fulfillment mode, apply channel-specific pricing and quantity rules, publish or update the listing, and fetch listing status from inside WordPress.
Use cases
- Marketplace listings
- Amazon order sync
- Inventory synchronization
- Catalog operations
Developer
Developer starting point
This baseline documents the Amazon Connector architecture. It does not claim that an Amazon API request, listing mutation, inventory update, order import, or marketplace callback has been exercised.
Ecosystem integration story
WooCommerce
This connector extends WooCommerce rather than replacing it. Product data still originates in WooCommerce, while Amazon-specific channel controls are layered on top through product meta, admin UX, and product-list visibility.
Amazon Selling Partner API
The connector is built around Amazon SP-API, specifically Listings Items workflows. It handles LWA token exchange, signed AWS requests, marketplace scoping, and listing status retrieval so Amazon becomes a reachable commerce channel from within the WordPress admin.
Seller Central operations
For merchants and operators, the connector reduces dependence on manual Seller Central entry for routine listing publication and status checks. It does not eliminate Amazon's schema and compliance requirements, but it moves more day-to-day execution closer to the WooCommerce catalog team.
WordPress and REST-aware integrations
The plugin registers Amazon-related product metadata for REST exposure and includes a lightweight health route, which makes it easier to extend, monitor, or integrate into broader admin and workflow tooling.
The broader Athenian ecosystem
Within an Athenian commerce stack, this connector can act as the Amazon-channel publishing layer. Where APC coordinates pricing and product state across WooCommerce experiences, Athenian Amazon WooCommerce Connector focuses specifically on translating eligible WooCommerce products into Amazon listing actions and surfacing Amazon sync state back into store operations.

Troubleshooting
This baseline documents the Amazon Connector architecture. It does not claim that an Amazon API request, listing mutation, inventory update, order import, or marketplace callback has been exercised.
- Confirm the deployed plugin version, active dependencies, and current repository tree before using implementation details as a release contract.
Treat payment, carrier, vendor, shipment, inventory, account, credential, tax, AI, and external-provider behavior as integration-dependent until exercised in the target environment.
FAQ
What is this page intended to establish?
A versioned, product-linked starting point for iterative developer documentation. It combines the local implementation reference with a detected-code inventory and a committed GitHub baseline.
Is the linked repository baseline verified?
Yes. The repository URL, ref, and commit recorded on this page were verified from the clean GitHub baseline prepared for this documentation pass. That does not by itself prove fleet deployment parity.
What remains for release-grade documentation?
Reconcile the recorded source baseline with the deployed plugin version, then exercise the relevant authenticated, store, provider, payment, tax, carrier, or generated-artifact paths in the target environment.
